The Rosette Nebula in Monoceros. This image was obtained at New Mexico Skies on a Takahasihi 150 and ST-1100M camera. LRGB of 20 minutes each and virtually no image processing.

	Gyulbudaghian's Nebula - At the heart of the Herbig-Haro object lies the variable Herbig AbBe pre-main sequence star PV Cep. This is a newly formed star that is surrounded by a rotating disk of material. At right angles to this disk are two jets of material, streaming away from the star at high speeds. We see the effects of one of these jets on the north side of PV Cep as the stream of material meets the surrounding gas in the interstellar medium. The jet to the south is obscured by a dark nebula (producing an absorption of over 3 magnitudes). This is the Veil Nebula or NGC6960, a Super-Nova Remnant. This is the ST-237A working @ f/3.5 through the Orion 3.9" 100mm refractor. This is a Track and Accumulate of 10 X 10 second images. You can just make out the nebula just to the right and above 52 Cygni, the brightest star in the image. The mount is the Orion SkyView Pro. Click on the image for a larger view.
